Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore personal difficulties, emotional challenges, and patterns of thinking or behaviour that may be affecting wellbeing. Sessions are tailored to each individual’s unique needs and may focus on developing greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and practical coping strategies.

Couples

Couples therapy provides a supportive and structured space to explore relationship dynamics, communication difficulties, and emotional challenges within partnerships. Therapy aims to help individuals better understand one another’s experiences, strengthen connection, and develop healthier ways of relating.

Flexible Online Therapy

Online therapy provides a flexible, safe and supportive space to engage in therapy wherever you are. Remote sessions allow continuity of care across global locations and busy schedules, while maintaining the same professional standards, privacy, and therapeutic depth as in-person work.

HCPC Registration: PYL26558

Dr Genevieve Solomou is a Counselling Psychologist, registered and accredited with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a full member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Genevieve has extensive clinical experience across a wide range of settings, including the voluntary sector (CRUSE Bereavement Care), the NHS (GP surgeries and hospital services), and the private sector, working with organisations such as Priority Healthcare and HCA International Hospitals. Most recently, alongside her private practice, she held the role of Consultant Psychologist at the Harley Street Cancer Clinic for several years, where she provided specialist psychological support to patients and their families affected by cancer.

In recent years, Genevieve has increasingly worked with couples, supporting them through a variety of relational difficulties across the lifespan.

Alongside her clinical work, Genevieve has lectured in academic and professional settings, including City University of London, where she contributed to the MSc Health Psychology programme, teaching on the topic of psycho-oncology. Her research interests are broad and have included an investigation into the psychological impacts of involuntary redundancy amongst City professionals.

Genevieve is trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and works in a flexible, integrative manner, underpinned by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She provides psychological assessment and short and longer-term interventions and places particular emphasis on developing a strong, positive and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Central to her approach is the belief that therapy should be carefully tailored to the individual needs, goals and circumstances of each client.

"In my role as a Psychologist, I have been privileged to work with people from all walks of life, experiencing a wide range of psychological challenges both individually and within relationships. I recognise that beginning therapy can feel daunting, however, an openness to the process can represent a powerful first step towards greater insight and psychological well-being.

My aim is to facilitate this process with warmth, gentle encouragement, and an absence of judgement. Through thoughtful exploration and understanding, individuals or couples may develop a deeper sense of self-awareness from which new coping strategies and perspectives can emerge. I recognise each person as unique and, through an integrative psychological approach, tailor therapy to support individual needs and aims."
